FashWire, GlossWire and KasaWire to Get AR, VR Features – WWD

After years of solving problems and using fashion to support important causes in the real world, FashWire founder and CEO Kimberly Carney plans to take the next step of his business in the virtual.

Different sectors of business-to-business data and consumer facing fashion and luxury, the company was at CES in Las Vegas last week to introduce CasaWire, its flagship home and interior design division. During the announcement of the idea, Carney told WWD that not only will the enhanced features and real features come to CasaWire next year, but FashWire and GlossWire soon after.

AR will arrive at FashWire in the second quarter in the form of a “Virtual Dressing Room,” with a service that will help customers look at themselves through a photo with their actual measurements. . According to the company, “The customer will be able to take a picture of themselves and then choose an item, for example, a dress. Then the selected item will be placed on the photo of the customer who can it’s up to them to figure out what the outfit is, the accessories, etc. Whether that’s related or independent of the “runway” example that Carney described is unclear at this point.

During the same second quarter, GlossWire will begin a real transition from brands on the GlossWire platform.

The company has grown significantly since its debut with FashWire in 2018, going from 25 brands to 445 from 50 countries. Since GlossWire arrived in February 2021, its list of 50 brands has grown to more than 300 from around 30 countries. CasaWire’s debut on December 22nd added 65 homes and accessories to the mix, with 30 more to come.
